Unexplained sheep attacks 'caused by aliens in UFOs', farmers claim

They have linked the unexplained incidents, where sheep's brains and eyes were removed, to the mysterious orange lights in the sky.

They have found sheep with "neat holes" while their brains and other internal organs were removed. Other animals have lost eyes or had their flesh "carefully stripped away", usually on the left side.

Earthquakes hit Dominican Republic, Ryukyu Islands and Tonga

USGS reported that an earthquake struck the Dominican Republic region with a magnitude of 8.0. It was registered on last Friday at 01:38:55 a.m. (05:38:55 UTC) at the epicenter, which was located 102 km from Hig[cedilla]ey, La Altagracia, Dominican Republic. However, it was later reported as a magnitude 3.4 earthquake by the Puerto Rico Seismic Network.

The report caused attention on massive news media at the moment, until the USGS reported it was 3.2.

Big Baja quake came from 'chaotic' fault system

The strong earthquake that rocked Baja California on Sunday probably occurred on a fault that hadn't produced a major temblor in over a century, scientists said.

Preliminary data suggest Sunday's 7.2-magnitude quake originated on the Laguna Salada fault, which stretches 43 miles along the U.S.-Mexico border. The last time it unleashed a similar-sized quake was in 1892. Since then, the fault has produced occasional magnitude-5 temblors.

Race against time to stop oil leak on Great Barrier Reef after Chinese coal ship runs aground

Captain Patrick Quirk, general manager of Maritime Safety Queensland, said the ship was badly damaged in a number of areas.

'The continued leakage of oil is probably the best case we could expect,' he said, but admitted that experts were 'very concerned' that the vessel could break up.

Mexico Earthquake 2010: 7.2 Quake Hits Baja California, Shakes Los Angeles

Seismologists have raised the preliminary magnitude of an earthquake in northern Baja California from 6.9 to 7.2.
