The Enigma Below the White Horse

A remarkable event has appeared, in two stages over two nights, below the Milk Hill White Horse. Could it represent a navigational tool to another world or dimension. Perhaps it is the actual image of an Alien creature. Whatever the enigma that is held within this complex design one has to marvel at this creation.

New Antarctic Sea Ice Video – shows cycles and ice growth

Now consider that each pixel of the Antarctic ice data is 25 km and in the video of the Wilkins ice shelf, the crack is 40miles long – that is about 2.6 pixels in the Figure 4 video.

Myanmar fossil may shed light on evolution

Fossils recently discovered in Myanmar could prove that the common ancestors of humans, monkeys and apes evolved from primates in Asia, rather than Africa, researchers contend in a study released Wednesday. However, other scientists said that the finding, while significant, won't end the debate over the origin of anthropoids — the primate grouping that includes ancient species as well as modern humans.

The virus, scientists believe, jumped from horses to dogs at least five years ago, but it has never infected a human.

Polar bear expert barred by global warmists

Dr Mitchell Taylor has been researching the status and management of polar bears in Canada and around the Arctic Circle for 30 years, as both an academic and a government employee.

More than once since 2006 he has made headlines by insisting that polar bear numbers, far from decreasing, are much higher than they were 30 years ago.

Of the 19 different bear populations, almost all are increasing or at optimum levels, only two have for local reasons modestly declined.

Someone should write to www.savethepolarbear.ca?!?

MAMMATUS OVER MANHATTAN:

Last Saturday, June 26th, after a summer evening thunderstorm, a bank of spectacular mammatus clouds formed over Manhattan," reports Snehal Patel of New York. "It was an amazing display that looked like large orange cotton balls falling from the sky."
He took this picture using an iPhone 3G:

Mammatus clouds, named for their resemblance to a cow's underbelly, sometimes appear at the end of severe thunderstorms when the thundercloud is breaking up. Researchers have called them an "intriguing enigma," because no one knows exactly how and why they form. The clouds are fairly common but often go unnoticed because potential observers have been chased indoors by the rain. If you are one of them, dash outside when the downpour stops; you could witness a beautiful mystery in the sky.
